Surviving spouse entitlements
Outlined below are military entitlements, changes upon remarriage and information about reinstatement of entitlements upon the loss of the second spouse.

| Dependency and Indemnity Compensation, if applicable | Can be reinstated |

*Remarriage of a surviving spouse terminates all entitlements, except:
1. SBP for the spouse if age 55 or older at time of remarriage.
2. Social Security and Retired Serviceman's Family Protection Plan (RSFPP) if age 60 or older at time of remarriage.
3. DIC for spouse if age 57 or older at time of remarriage.
4. CHAMPVA for the spouse if age 55 or older at time of remarriage.
